The French Deli – A delicatessen and wholesale distributor.
La Baguette Bakery – A bakery and pastry production hub serving retail and wholesale clients.
The Wine Store by The French Deli – Opening in October 2025, this 2000-square-foot wine cellar and bar will specialize in organic and biodynamic wines, offering over 1000 selections from across Europe, with a strong focus on French wines and spirits.
The Opportunity
We are looking for two experienced professionals to manage our brand-new Wine Store & Wine Bar. This is a unique opportunity to lead an exciting project in a stunning island setting, working with a passionate and dynamic team.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As Wine Store & Wine Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Your key duties include:
Retail & Sales Management
Oversee all aspects of the wine store, including product selection, inventory control, and supplier relationships.
Develop strong relationships with customers and provide expert guidance on wine and spirits.
Track sales trends and customer preferences to optimize product offerings.
Conduct in-store wine tastings and organize special events.
Wine Bar & Hospitality
Manage the wine bar, ensuring smooth service and an inviting atmosphere.
Serve and recommend wines, pairing them with gourmet food selections.
Ensure the bar is well-stocked, clean, and compliant with alcohol regulations.
Deliver an exceptional guest experience, handling customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism.
Leadership & Operations
Lead, train, and motivate a small team, setting high standards for service and expertise.
Organize staff schedules, ensuring efficient daily operations.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and oversee deliveries.
Maintain financial oversight, working towards profitability and business growth.
Who You Are
Passionate About Wine – Strong knowledge of organic and biodynamic wines, particularly European selections.
Experienced & Qualified – A degree or equivalent certification in wine studies, plus several years of wine store or hospitality management experience.
Fluent in English – Strong communication skills to engage with international customers.
Entrepreneurial Spirit – Motivated to grow the business and create a memorable customer experience.
Adaptable & Hands-On – Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Physically Capable – Able to lift up to 50-pound boxes when necessary.
Flexible & Committed – Willing to work weekends and adapt to island life.
Valid Driver’s License – Required for logistics and operations.
